One of the things that Justin loves to do is to go outside in the backyard. The last time I went to my backyard was a few weeks ago. I have notice a median-sized tree in front of me. It was the most ugliest tree I've ever seen. It had small green and yellow leaves that would make a mess. I don't like the tree at all, nobody does. Every time when someone cuts it down, it will still continue to grow. No one can get rid of it.
"The ones that drive us nuts, barking, everyday, every time and at everyone"(Eshun). I was not just observing Justin, but I've also been observing my backyard a little this week. I have notice how ugly it looks now. When I first moved to my house where I live now, the backyard was beautiful with grass, but now there are a lot of weeds growing.
I read a poem called "Dog Power" by Asantewa Eshun, and it reminded me of Justin and what he does when he goes outside.

I also have a tree on my side yard that i hate. It just makes my yard look uglier. It doesn't let my beautiful rose show.
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling of having an ugly tree. I have an ugly tree that sits in my front yard and the leaves that fall off of it just make a horrible mess.
ReplyDeleteI don't think trees are ugly at all but the mess they make is in fact hideous. At times I feel as if I'm paying way too much attention to my dogs when observing. Now that I'm reading your blog I think I'm going to start paying more attention to nature and the things it has to offer since I observe in my yard as well.
ReplyDeleteI like how you gave a color pallet very similar to vomit when describing the tree's leaves. Observing your dog as well as its domain was also a really good idea.
